I bought myself a new smile

My husband Tim and I were devastated when we first discovered we couldn’t have children, but after a couple of months we made a pact. We were lucky to have one another and if we couldn’t have a baby, we’d make the most of our lives. Sport is a major passion of ours, so at the age of 40 we set ourselves a goal to run out first marathon. Since then, we’ve completed 16 all over the world.

I felt great having run those marathons, but there was one thing that would truly make me feel happy – having a beautiful smile. I’d always had wonky teeth, and the really affected my confidence, so I decided to dip into the savings I’d put aside for a rainy day and the veneers at Riveredge Cosmetic Dentistry in Sunderland. Although I was nervous beforehand, the fantastic staff really put me at ease.

I love my new teeth and never realised how much my old ones were holding me back. Now I feel girly, and treat myself to new clothes and make-up all the time because I want to be notices. Approaching my 50’s with perfect pearly whites is the best feeling ever.
